Monty’s Big Beef Wellington
This is the creme de la creme of all dinner parties or special occasions. Prime Cumbrian fillet Beef sourced locally and truly cared for. Our Chef treats each of his Wellingtons with so much care to ensure the meat is really at its best by the time it has arrived to you. We use a handmade mushroom Duxell, to really give the Wellington that special something. Chef wraps the parcel in beautiful cuts of Parma ham which is then encased in a stunning pastry case. This dish is really setting the bar high and is one of our most popular main dishes. Paired with our dauphinoise potatoes is a match made in heaven.
Fillet Steak, Flour, Eggs, Butter, Mustard, Mushrooms, Air Dried Ham, Herbs & Spices
Pre heat Oven to 200°c
Egg wash your Wellington with one egg & a splash of water before putting into the oven for 12 minutes before turning down the temperature to 180°c & continue cooking for a further 20 minutes. Remove from oven and allow meat to rest for 20 - 30 minutes. Slice & serve.
